Please note that we do not ship live birds for free. (No, we cannot set them loose with your address and have them fly to you. Nice try!) Shipping a bird over long distances can be stressful to the bird. To help alleviate this stress, we include the following in our shipping costs: a carrier, traveling food and water cups, and a comfortable perch. We ship all birds "Freight Collect," which means that you will pay for the freight when you pick up your bird at the airport. Currently, air transport runs from $98-$172 plus insurance. Because all of our birds come with an extensive health guarantee, each bird will be given a full medical check-up at Backos Bird Clinic prior to shipping. Backos Bird Clinic is a certified avian specialist and all-bird veterinary clinic located in Deerfield Beach, Florida. If there are any complications, we will be able to take care of them before you receive your new feathered friend. (Please note that all vet bills are the responsibility of the buyer.)
