Jean Horvitz
Jean has had two wild caught parrots for over 17 years whom she had personally "broken in"; Jerry, a male Sulfer Crested Cockatoo (around 35 years old), and Blackjack, a female 30+ year old Blue and Gold Macaw. She has had many other birds and was (we later found out) one of Golden Cockatoo's best toy buying customers (before becoming an owner).
She has an AA and a BA in English, and graduated from Nova Southeastern Shepard School of Law on May 21, 2000. Jean excels in bird behavior (especially the large macaws), correspondence, sales, and visual inspections of all of our birds so as to insure their well being. As Jean puts it, she "speaks Macaw" and is especially talented when it comes to befriending or training Macaws, especially Blue and Gold Macaws. She also gives all our birds a weekly bath (which they enjoy greatly!)
