At the Golden Cockatoo, we provide numerous services for both the birds and our customers. We do all grooming, DNA and disease testing here at the store. We offer boarding for your birds (birdie camp), provide house calls, baths (pampering) and also do bird shows for parties and corporate events.
Please note that we discontinue all grooming and testing 1 and a half hours prior to closing so we are able to feed our babies and clean the store.
Also, due to our 20' ceiling, you MUST bring your bird in a carrier. This is non-negotiable. All those attempting to bring their bird into the store without a carrier will be asked to leave and come back when they have a carrier. Thank you for understanding our concern for your bird and our birds' safety.

and medium Bird Grooming $9.50
We trim nails by hand using
Ian's gentle towel wrap technique so as to reduce the stress
to the birds. We then file their nails by hand, and will
groom the wings (first seven from the tip) for the indicated
price. Beak work is an additional $4.50
Small and medium birds (parakeets,
lovebirds, budgies, cockatiels, Senegal's, conures, hawk heads,
caiques, eclectus, amazons, greys, mini macaws, and cockatoos).
**You can get $5.00 off on
DNA sexing of your bird when it is done in conjunction with
a grooming.
Large
Bird Grooming $15.00
For
all large (not mini) Macaws, Tritons, and Moluccans. Done same
as small/medium grooming.

Boarding
Services
Give your birds a home away
from home. Boarding includes cage and food.You must bring
in your own toys when boarding or purchase them here upon
arrival (10% discount on all toys purchased for boarding). All cages, perches, and accessories are sanitized
between each use and cleaned daily. Birds are brought out
to socialize if nice unless otherwise requested.
Our boarding room utilizes both UV/Vita
lighting, and an air filter.
**Birds MUST have psittacosis
test and vet exam within the last year (proof required) to
board.
**Reservations are required,
especially during holidays.

Great for special events, corporate
functions, charities, parties, and
school functions. We bring our birds to a theater near you! At such an
event, we interact people and birds. We discuss exotic birds while your
guests handle the birds. What a great way to help break the ice at your
next party.
Also, we offer one free bird
show to interested nursing homes and ALF's interested in
putting together a schedule of regular bird shows for their
residents.
