Also, the perch on which the parrot stands is a sand coated Manzanita perch. The sand is a specially tumbled sand that is gentle enough not injure the bottom foot pad of your parrot while being sharp enough to file the nails when perching. No other company uses this type of sand. This is true of the entire SANDY PERCH line of PARROT CAGE PERCHES and PARROT SHOWER PERCHES.

The benefit of the sand being adhered to a Manzanita wood perch, as opposed to an entirely cement perch is that is remains much warmer in temperature; Concrete gets very cold, which may result to poor circulation and/or arthritis to the parrots' feet.

These can be used as tabletop parrot stands as well; you do not have to hang them.
